Mud-luscious

In Just

in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman

whistles far and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old balloonman whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

it's
spring
and
the

goat-footed

far
and

Melanie and Cameron

A stormy afternoon led to some great light for photos of Cameron and Melanie's wedding in Boulder today. They came in from NY, looked fabulous and we captured some true Boulder scenery at Chautaqua where it's glorious green, green, green!

INTEGRITY

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven played music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Alex Graduates from Middle School

Enjoyed photographing Alex today to celebrate his graduating middle school. We got formal in the studio and then took a leap through the woods which brought out another side of him. Thanks Joan his grandmother for setting up the session.

Surprise

Take a walk before sunset to the McClintock Trail, my favorite woodsy trail in Boulder. Maya says let's go up here, a short steep climb and we come across this surprise meadow filled with yellow wild flowers. And it's Dan's birthday night! Beautiful surprise!

Being Open

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don't go back to sleep.

Lone Hawk Farms

Finally got back to Lone Hawk Farms to photograph Melissa and Scott's wedding. The farm had to do some rennovations in the last few years and they're back up and running. www.lonehawkfarms.com I love it there!

Gestures

A moment of shared love between mother, the bride, and her son during the ceremony with the step-dad, the groom, in between.

Beautiful Brooke

Photographed a bridal portrait for Brooke today. We visited the McCLintock Trail and Chautaqua. What a treat to photograph a bride weeks before the wedding to have some quality time to make portraits. A special thanks to Brooke's friend Tricia for her help today. Wishing you a wonderful wedding Brooke!

Alchemilla Mollis-Lady's Mantle

Alchemilla is a member of the rose family. Alchemists believed that the morning crystal dewdrops in this plant, which they called heaven's water, held magical powers to help them in their work. Photographed in Boulder today after an evening of Spring rain.
