Boulder Wedding Showcase 2012

A great wedding show at Rembrandt Yard and the Boulder Theater yesterday. I met some great soon to be brides and grooms and heard about their awesome weddings this year. I look forward to meeting you all soon at the studio. It was also so great to see so many vendor friends in the industry all in one place. I was lucky to be right next to Dawn with A Spice of Life Catering and Sarah with Painted Primrose Flowers. Feeling excited and inspired for 2012!

Streamboat Springs Elopement

Congratulations to Robin and Daniel for the beautiful elopement in Steamboat Springs, CO. Awesome styling by Leslie Snyder of LesliesArts who was a huge help to me. And great planning and ceremony by Tanya of Weddings Etc. Unfortunately, the rain was with us so some plans had to be changed, but it was a great day and we had lots of fun creating photos. She was so excited to get on the phone and call her friends and family to share the news of their surprise marriage and elopement

"Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle. And so we must straighten our backs and work for our freedom. A man can't ride you unless your back is bent."

Spring Memory

Came across this image from last Spring. Two icelandic poppies showing up for the season. They feel very anthropomorphic to me. Enjoy!

Neighborly Love

Not only did I come home to shoveled sidewalks and walkways into my home yesterday

, but also to a snow heart of love on the table in the yard. It's good to have good neighbors :)
Thanks Alissa!

Garrison Roots - Rest in Peace

Just learned of the passing of one of my more influential art professors, Garrison Roots. He was my sculpture professor and advisor

while getting my BFA at CU Boulder. He was the most challenging of professors in the best of ways and a brilliant artist. He bravely fought pancreatic cancer for 5 years and passed away on the winter solstice. He will be missed by thousands of students.
Thank you for your brilliant teachings. Photo by Roddy MacInnes

Diane Dandeneau-Shoot 4

Diane Dandeneau performed at Unity Church this morning and then gave a wonderful workshop called "Journey to the Soul Channeled Journaling." Check her out at www.dianedandeneau.com and learn more about her work and upcoming workshop opportunities. She is a real gift to the community. Don't miss it. It is my great privilege to continue photographing and videotaping her as her own journey evolves. Thanks Diane!

Day 2 of Adventure Rabbi Bat Mitzvah

A torah small enough to fit in a backpack allows for a circular reading involving all the guests. Great opportunity in the Chautaqua Community House
for some over head views. Beautiful ceremony and gathering of a family community and Rabbi Korngold of the Adventure Rabbi provides a fabulous service.

Happy New Year

A New Year's Eve filled with ritual. Bruce and Marcela provided a great evening of letting go of the old and setting intention for new wishes for the new year. Including a walk around the block with a suitcase with the hopes of travel in 2012 and eating 12 grapes to mark each month. We also burned an effigy filled with our intentions to let go of as well as putting our hopes for 2012 into glass jars in a wall.
A good night to start anew!
