Morphose Mountain Retreat Costa Rica

OK, so if you're looking for a great place to incorporate into your vacation to Costa Rica, please plan to include some time at Morphose Mountain Retreat Kate and Pat have built this stunning guest house and restaurant in the middle of the jungle high on a hill with extraordinary views all around. You sleep in luxury in the middle of the trees with hummingbirds waking you in the morning.
It's in southern Costa Rica, they are incredible hosts, Pat is an amazing cook, Kate can take you on private coffee tours and bird watching, the accommodations are exquisite and incredibly affordable, and they have a great 6 yr old son named Lucas. Hope you can check out their site and shoot them an email for possible visits. You won't be disappointed! It's a special place and offers unique opportunities for intimate travel time and adventure.

GREEN-VERDE-GREEN

The exquisite green of Costa Rica. And for a photographer who loves botanicals and dewdrops, the jungle is a good place to find them in the rainy season :)

Costa Rica

Just back after a week in Costa Rica for Thanksgiving. The sense of natural life there is incredible. The photos are in the thousands but will start here going backwards. The stick you see here is actually a praying mantis in the form of a stick bug...we swam in the waterfall, saw how coffee is produced from start to finish, and watched hundreds of humming birds feed each morning on this flowering tree. We stayed with great friends Kate, Pat and Lucas at Morphose Mountain Retreat for most of the trip.
They were incredible hosts, 'tour guides' and provided exquisite housing. Check out their link when you have a moment and try to include a stop there on your next trip to Costa Rica. It's well worth the visit....lots of photos to follow this week!

Buddha

You can search the whole universe

and not find a single being more worthy of love than yourself.

Since each and every person is so precious to themselves,

Let the self-respecting harm no other being.

Hallie and James Wedding Boulder, CO

This was my last scheduled wedding of the season. Ceremony at the romantic, historic Ryssby Church in Longmont and another great reception at Rembrandt Yard in Boulder.
Perfect light at sunset, candle lit ceremony, and soft snow fell on the way out as Hallie and James rode off in their Rolls Royce to the reception. Spectacular evening for a wonderful couple.

11/11

No post on 11/11! I was so focused on my newsletter, I failed to make a posting here for 11.11.10. Hope it was a good day all around and thanks for the good wishes that came through that day. If you are interested and have 2 minutes and 41 seconds, here is story of why my photo business is called 11:11 Productions.
In the meantime, Saturday's wedding follows.

Happy Birthday Patsy Francis Colombo

Today was my Dad's birthday-he would have been 76 years old. But he died when he was 70.
Some of the happiest photos of him are when he was traveling-here on the rope swing at Cane Garden Bay in the British Virgin Islands and rafting on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. I celebrate the anniversary of his birth and the gift of life he gave me. He is missed and remembered with abundant love.
