Brides Against Breast Cancer

This was a wonderful wedding show yesterday where women are able to shop for a beautiful wedding dress for a great price. So many women found their perfect wedding dress. Once they found the dress, we all celebrated, and they got their photos taken. Proceeds go to breast cancer research and support from all sales. A great way to get a good deal on a dress, and raise money for an important cause. I was honored to be part of it. From their site: Brides Against Breast Cancer™ contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families. Our outreach and educational efforts during our "Tour of Gowns" bridal shows around the country help ensure that people impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their battle with cancer. I hear there is another show coming in the fall...I'll keep you posted on the details. Here are some of the women I photographed who found a great dress!

Boulder Headshots

Sometimes clients are very nervous about having their headshot taken. I spend a lot of time with you and do a variety of looks to get us into an easy flow for photographing. Russ was very nervous and unsure about this photographic experience, but we got many great images for his professional needs and he was thrilled. "You did an excellent job and far surpassed my expectations. I didn't know that I could look so good :^) I enjoyed working with you and am extremely satisfied with the results."

Courageous Women, Fearless Living Retreat

There is a wonderful retreat that takes place each summer at the Shambhala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, CO. Sawhill Ponds in Boulder Open Space

A beautiful walk along the Sawhill Ponds in Boulder yesterday with Dave Sutherland of the city of Boulder's Open Space. He played symphonies that incorporate bird songs on his ipod and then we listened to the birds in nature. In concert on April 27 in Macky Auditorium, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Cantus Arcticus: Concerto for Birds and Orchestra, a work by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara that features bird songs recorded in wetlands near the Arctic Circle. .A beautiful morning with another great outdoor activity in Boulder. and there were some angry geese out there!

Garden Progress

I love having a veggie garden. Got all the seeds in by Monday last week and by Tuesday we were covered in snow.

Tobi Hunt Events

A really fun Lunch and Network Event with Tobi Hunt Events took place at Spice of Life Event Center in Boulder this week. Lots of great self employed men and women attend for some fun networking. The inspired speaker Tommi Wolfe gave a talk on attracting more clients. Tobi meets once a month for this meeting. Check it out for May!

Stanely Hotel Wedding Photography, Estes Park

Another beautiful wedding at the Stanley Hotel with Tricia and Todd this April. We had great weather and they were basking in love! We had some fun on the rocks and using that soft north light for portraits!

Boulder Family Portraits

Cody, Kelsey and Laramie came in for Laramie's one year old portraits. I photographed their wedding back in 2010 and it was great to see them again with their first baby. It makes me so happy to continue my relationship with couples after their wedding. Laramie was awesome to photograph and never cried once. It was a big help to have my 10 year old play behind me while shooting towards the end of the session. She was starting to get a bit tired :) These are the black and whites outside on the lawn.
