DELIVERING LOVE

There's a certain amount of love that wants to enter the world. And the ability to be part of the delivery system for that is probably the one goal that never goes away."

Clara's Back with Delaney

I had the great pleasure of photographing the Hrouda's again today.
I photographed their wedding 6 years ago and then had 4 shoots with their first baby Clara and now with the new baby Delaney who is 3 months old. I LOVE seeing families over the years and photograph the children as they grow. Thank you Ben and Andrea!

University of Colorado Boulder Faculty Fine Art Show 2011

It's a great bonus living in Boulder to have access to the university. Tonight there was an opening at the new CU Fine Arts Museum of faculty art work. Saw my sculpture professor, Garrison Roots from 1986 who is now head of the department as well as a sculptor. Here he is in front of his piece which is covered with that fuzzy material you find in a jewelry box.
I can't remember the name of it but it's a strange one...Also, this chair moves its wings when you sit on it-wow!

Martin Luther King Day

"We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity. The tide in the affairs of men does not remain at flood -- it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is adamant to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words, "Too late."

Relationship Building Season

Winter is a great time to build relationships with contacts made in networking events and leads groups over the year. I am proud to be a member of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce. Today I was fortunate to share a lunch with Rachel Weinberg of Wright Kingdom Real Estate.
Rachel will take phenomenal care of you and your real estate needs and works incredibly hard to be one of the top realtors in Boulder. I highly recommend her if you are seeking out a realtor for your housing needs.

Looking Back...Sarah and Taylor

This image is from one of my favorite weddings a few years back at an organic farm in Oregon. I'm getting this printed on a quilt square for the couple who are having a baby this year. Their friends are making a giant quilt made from squares gathered from all their friends and family. Nice idea! Keep it in mind for future photos from an 11:11 Productions photo shoot.

Humble Beginnings 1

My first photo show at the 4th Street Photo Gallery in 1991. I met Alex Harsley when I lived around the corner from the gallery on 2nd Avenue in New York City, back in 1990 and he gave me my first exhibit of photographs a year later. It was dedicated to my grandparents, George and Nilda Follini who had a profound influence on my life. More about them next post...here is the family all gathered around in the gallery and a younger version of myself up front. My grandfather died that year and my grandmother was present at the show. Alex gave me this photo 2 weeks ago when I visited him at the gallery 20 years later. This Boulder Wedding Photographer is glad to have this awesome memory.
