SWING SERIES IS BACK~

If you are interested and in the Boulder area, email me to get your photo taken

on the swing! It's the 5th year I have photographed people on this swing when the flowers bloom white and I am up to about 100 people. I photograph in black and white on medium format film and you get a print for your efforts. Here are some samples from last year. These are a few taken in color digital today just for fun. The flowers only last about a week, so time is short. Hope to hear from you!

Banjo Billy's Bus Tours Boulder, CO

Enjoyed a tour on the Banjo Billy's Bus Tour today in Boulder with the 2nd grade class at Creekside Elementary. The driver shares some really interesting and sometimes dark information about the history of Boulder and it's buildings, sites and ghosts!
Check them out for your next wave of guests who might be in town for your wedding. They even offer private transportation for your wedding and rehearsal dinner.

Sawhorse Studios Photo Shoot

Today I photographed some great Boulder kids for Sawhorse Studios. They

were playing on a Sawhorse Studio tree house. They provide complete design/build services for commercial and residential children's play areas and play equipment, both indoors and out. Whether a city park, a back yard play house or an interior theme room, they provide unique solutions that complement the existing landscape and architecture. What fun!

NRBA Conference Omni Hotel Broomfield , CO 2011 Event Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the National REO Brokers Association, (NRBA) Annual Education Conference at the Omni Hotel in Broomfield, Colorado for 4 days this past week. I learned a lot about the state of the real estate market as well as the great work they are doing with the Make A Wish Foundation. They have granted several hundred wishes to children all over the country. It was inspiring to meet Brandon, who was a recent recipient of a wish to meet the Colorado Rockies baseball team. During the conference, the members had a build a bike event and donated 4 bikes to Brandon and his siblings. They also had a very inspiring visit by Congressman David Schweikert from Arizona. A great event all around!

Sunrise Amphitheater Wedding, Boulder CO

Today was the wedding of Kevin and Leslie. It was a wild day of weather here in Colorado with rain all afternoon, hampering our idea to do formal portraits at Chautaqua Park in Boulder. I ended up with 30 people in my studio at the last minute and we did all the photos here which is a first for me. We then braved the rain to head up to the Sunrise Amphitheater up Flagstaff Mountain for the ceremony. The rain quickly turned to snow which happens when you go up the smallest amount of altitude.
I love that they have photos from their wedding in both rain and snow in a matter of minutes-a true testament to diversity in images which I strive to give to my clients.
And the funny thing is, I initially met Kevin in a snow storm. I was driving down Boulder canyon in March from Nederland and saw a man on a road bike in a serious snow squall that had unexpectedly moved in. I initially thought, wow, that guy is a serious rider! But then I slowed down and asked through my passenger window if he was ok. And he said "No, I'm in trouble." I pulled over, we loaded his bike in the car and I took him down to Boulder. He mentioned his fiancee and I said, "Are you getting married? I'm a wedding photographer. :)" When I dropped him off, I gave him my card and a few weeks later, his fiancee, Leslie called and today I photographed their wedding. They are a beautiful couple who seem perfect for each other.
I am honored to have been there to photograph them and their families and give thanks for the continual opportunities to share in people's lives. A true gift.
