More portraits of the week

Visited two of my favorite Connecticut people. I used to garden for Mrs. K who is now 93 and still lives on the most glorious estate on the ocean in Waterford, CT. I called her on her birthday in June and when she got on the phone she said, "Barbara, I'm still alive! " Thank goodness she is! And as always there is Frank, my favorite Italian, who is now 88, a proud WWII veteran, who gardened for Mrs.K for 50 years. We used to work together for her, pruning away, eating tomatoes out of the garden, biting into them like apples with seeds running down out chins. These people are the salt of the earth and it is a true gift to see them each year on the CT. visit.
