Listening to Silence

Needed to fall into some silence this weekend. Lucky to walk through Rocky Mountain National Park and listen to the quiet of the landscape, photograph the slow emergence of Spring. Finding a bit of snow, the first pussywillows, melting ice.
Stillness....

beautiful simple photograph, barb...i really love this one.

sorry i've been missing you by phone...my new camera is on the ups truck. they tried to deliver it today, but i thought they weren't going to deliver until friday & nobody was here to sign for it today when they came by. ended up ordering it from adorama because even though everything is a little bit more expensive, the warranties and shipping insurance were a better deal with these guys when it came right down to it. i'm nervous...the big machine...i bought a nikon D90 and a 20mm lens to start with. should be some fun learning.

anyway, thanks for this photo, i love it. hope yr retreat was good for yr heart, B

love, al
